The Retreat Directors

SEVEN FOUNTAINS has a permanent staff of five Jesuits, who offer guidance to those who come for various types of retreats. Spiritual accompaniment is of great value to those who can get away from the demands of daily life, and are able to take some personal time to experience what the Lord promised:

"Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest." [Mt 11:28-30]

Our Jesuit staff is most willing to accompany anyone who is seeking for what is deeper in life. You might like to know a bit more about the Directors.

Located in Chiangmai

SEVEN FOUNTAINS is located in the Chiangmai valley, the center of northern Thailand. Originally this area was called "The Kingdom of Lanna" - the kingdom of a million rice fields. Our Center is located at the foot of Doi Suthep, part of the mountain range that surrounds the Chiangmai valley.

Types of Retreats

There are many ways to make a retreat. At SEVEN FOUNTAINS our basic style is following the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola. We encourage individually directed retreats; we also help in Group Retreats.

There are different ambiences that you will experience in these retreat styles.

A Place of Peace

The SEVEN FOUNTAINS is a place of nature and beauty and silence, even though it is centrally located in the heart of Chiangmai. The atmosphere of silence and natural beauty helps bring a person more easily into the presence of the Lord.

Whether the retreatant is asking, "Where are You, Lord?" or "What will You have me do, Lord?' -- the surrounding atmopshere will open doors of reflection, prayer, and inner peace, to find the answers one seeks.
