Meditative/Contemplative Prayer Experiences you can download

Examen the bubbles: Paul Campbell S.J. of Loyola Press just launched a new website called http://www.other6.com/ Based on St.Ignatius' Examination of Conciousness, it asks the user to respond to two questions: "Where have I found God today?" or "Where do I need to find God today?". These are graphically represented as bubbles, where one can read one's own and other's comment.

Thoughts

It is from the Lord Jesus we learn to be near to the poor and suffering, to those who are excluded in this world.

Fr.Adolfo Nicolas SJ, Superior General of the Society of Jesus

Concerning all acts of initiative and creation, there is one elementary truth - that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves, too.

Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

No man is clever enough to know all the evil he does-

The Seven Fountains Sponsorship Programme

Throughout Advent into the New Year after the 09.30 Mass, Kevin and Apirum O'Carroll will have special forms for people who would like to sponsor a scholarship.

The only criterion these young children need to qualify for a scholarship is extreme poverty. Many live in villages that are far from schools, and they need funds to pay rent for a hostel, or else they need money to pay for their books or school uniform.

If you would like to help these really needy children to have an education that would otherwise not be available to them, please sponsor a Sponsorship. They make the most wonderful presents for friends and family too.

Fr.Miguel shared that 190,000 Baht was donated during our December Sponsorship Fund Raising! How fantastic! That brings our total so far up to 276,000 Baht!

Seven Fountains Centre hosts fundraising dinner under the stars

George Powell

A 'family event' Christmas dinner fundraiser was held recently under the stars in the gardens of the Seven Fountains Centre on Huay Kaew Road, to raise money for an educational sponsorship programme involving 450 needy children in Chiang Mai province. Seasonal entertainment was provided by the Chiang Mai Flute Club, together with a choir composed of students who had already benefited from the sponsorship programme. Local residents and business generously sponsored a silent auction and a 'bucket lottery,' ensuring that the evening was not only enjoyable, but also successful!

The Jesuits and wider Seven Fountains Community thank the Dinner Organisers, Christmas Card sellers & promoters of the Sponsorship Programme for your wonderful efforts.
